This chart is a comprehensive listing of import and export capabilities of various free 3D tools. Open-source, freeware, trialware, and crippleware tools don't always support each others' formats. At times, a program reads 10 formats, but exports only one, and vice versa. Thus, users need a guide to figure out how to get a file from program A to program B. Hopefully, this chart helps.
